Elon Musk criticizes Voice of America, Global Media Agency is waiting for the end

On February 9th, Elon Musk, the head of the US Government Efficiency Department, posted on X platform, stating that media outlets such as Voice of America and Radio Free Europe under the US government have wasted a significant amount of US fiscal spending and should be completely shut down. Musk's post reposted the original post by well-known self media figure Mario Nafar, who previously referred to Voice of America as the "far left national media" and stated that "it's time to shut them down". Later, Musk forwarded the tweet and agreed, "That's right, turn them all off.

Musk stated in his online post that "no one wants to listen" to media outlets such as Voice of America, and only "extreme leftists are talking to themselves". He also pointed out that these media outlets cost up to $1 billion annually.

Voice of America and Radio Free Europe are under the jurisdiction of the US Global Media Agency and are propaganda machines used by the US to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. They have been boycotted for creating false information in multiple countries.
