年代：晚白堊紀森諾曼階 ( Upper Cretaceous , Cenomanian ,98 mya~95 mya )

Lissoberyx 為小型的白堊紀燧鯛科魚類，於1942年由Smith Woodward,命名，顱骨頂部寬闊平坦，上枕嵴短而高，具23個椎骨，背鰭5個粗棘條，臀鰭有4個粗棘條，鱗片薄而呈櫛狀，無腹側脊鱗。

Lissoberyx體型一般為卵圓型，L.arambourgi 體型較其他種的Lissoberyx 為長，頭部稍尖，背鰭有5 個硬棘條，9 個軟棘條，臀鰭有4 個硬棘條，8 個軟鰭條。
