Premier League rules could help Man Utd land transfer of 10-goal midfielder this summer
Football fans have been left frustrated by some of the Premier League's rules this season, but Manchester United may be set to profit from them
Manchester United could reportedly take advantage of Premier League rules to sign Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is looking to overhaul an ageing United midfield which could see the likes of Christian Eriksen and Casemiro depart Old Trafford at the end of the season. At present, the Foxes reportedly value the former Luton Town midfielder at £40m.
However, as a result of Enzo Maresca's side being charged by the Premier League for allegedly breaching profit and sustainability rules, they may be forced to cash in on Dewsbury-Hall, who has scored 10 goals this season.
The Three Lions are among the favourites to win this summer's Euro 2024 tournament and you can get your hands on the brand new Nike home and away kits before the first whistle.
Due to Leicester's plight, the Red Devils may be able to sign the dynamic playmaker for a cut-price, according to Give Me Sport. Initially it appeared the 2016 Premier League winners were planning on holding out for their huge price tag if they were to achieve promotion.
However, a purported gentleman's agreement may also force them to part with the 25-year-old for only £25m. United would certainly be interested in such a move, as they are trying to move away from their previous transfer approach of signing big players with even larger pay packets.

Previous reports claimed Ratcliffe specifically criticised the £70m signing of Casemiro in 2022, which included a four-year contract for the 32-year-old, understood to be worth around £350,000 per week. Since Ratcliffe's 27.7% minority takeover was confirmed, United have also been linked with a move for Luton Town midfielder Ross Barkley.
Considering the personnel United are rumoured to be keen on, it appears they are looking for midfield dynamism and physicality. They currently rely on Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and the young Kobbie Mainoo, who only made his debut in November.
Summer signing Mason Mount has also endured an injury hit start to life at Old Trafford. When talking about United's new recruitment strategy, Ratcliffe said: "Making sure we get recruitment right is such a vital part of football today.
"I would rather sign the next Mbappe rather than spend a fortune buying success. It's not that clever buying Mbappe. Anyone could figure that one out. More challenging is to find the next Mbappe or next Bellingham or next Roy Keane."
