Tucked away in a picturesque little town (County Durham) by River Wear, this charming café is a hidden gem you simply can’t miss. With views overlooking the flowing water and ducks drifting by, it’s the perfect spot for a weekend brunch. Their menu is a dream – from sweet and savoury pancakes loaded with fresh berries or crispy bacon, to perfectly poached eggs served on sourdough with smoked salmon or avocados. Of course, you’ll also find a classic full English twist with bacon, eggs and all the trimmings. While the coffee is lovely, the real standout here is their smoothies – fresh, fruity, and ridiculously refreshing.
