About Me
I am currently working in the service industry—or more precisely, the public service sector.
I habe loved reading and writing novels since junior high school. My formative inspirations were Canon of Sherlock Holmes, A Song of Ice and Fire, and the Foundation trilogy. Although my specialization of writing is fantasy, my first submission was a romance novel. I later joined a sci-fi writing club, which is why the bulk of my output consists of science fiction. While I harbor the ambition to write mystery and deduction stories, I frankly don't have enough confidence in my own IQ to pull them off.To me, writing is less of a hobby and more of a curse—a curse where I simply cannot go on with life unless I am writing something. And so, even as a corporate drone, I must press on as a part-time writer.
I have gone through many pen names in the past, such as Liebenstein, Not Cat Food, and Andante Violin. This perhaps reflected my past uncertainty about my own identity. But now I am certain: I am the young raven (Ruo Ya), watching everything from the sky, observing and learning. I hope that when the day comes that I can no longer fly, I can return to the ground and share even more stories.
