Baer's Past (貝爾的過去)

The Tragedy of Bearton (Bearton 的悲劇): Bearton was once a vibrant settlement home only to bear beastmen. However, the village was devastated by a severe drought that led to widespread crop failure. To make matters worse, a monster invasion struck the weakened community, tearing the village apart.
The Guardian of Solitude (孤獨的守護者): Unable to endure the starvation and disasters, many villagers chose to abandon Bearton just to survive. Despite the mass exodus, Baer refused to leave. He stayed behind to protect the remaining children and guard the crumbling village alone.
The Hope for Return (歸來的希望): Enduring profound loneliness, Baer held onto the firm belief that if he could repair the village and restore the land, the villagers would eventually return. He chose to guard this solitude, hoping that Bearton could one day flourish again with its former warmth and laughter.

The Encounter at Bearton (抵達 Bearton)

The Desolate Village: When Leshi and Hu Ji arrived at the dilapidated ruins of Bearton, they found the remaining children emaciated and weakened by hunger. To ensure their survival, Baer had been desperately pushing himself to his limits, spending every moment searching for any scrap of food.
Stabilizing the Land: With the help of Leshi and Hu Ji, they first secured the settlement by subjugating the surrounding monsters and providing emergency food supplies to stabilize the village.
Reconstruction and Growth: To ensure long-term safety, Leshi and Hu Ji focused on strengthening the village's infrastructure. They implemented new defense systems against monster invasions, built efficient irrigation networks and granaries, and introduced advanced farming techniques.
The Final Mission: With the village now stable and self-sufficient, only one task remains: helping Baer find and bring back the scattered villagers, so that Bearton can finally be restored to its former glory.

The Journey Continues (旅程繼續) A New Departure: Once Bearton had regained its vitality, Leshi and Hu Ji prepared to set out for the next village. Gratitude and Loyalty: Moved by deep gratitude and a growing affection for Leshi, Baer decided to leave his restored home and join them on their quest. The Comforts of Home: With Baer’s exceptional skills as a chef and logistics expert, Leshi and Hu Ji were able to travel without ever having to worry about food or basic necessities. His presence transformed their arduous journey into an adventure filled with warmth and stability.

A Home for the Homeless (無家者的歸處) The Heartbreaking Scene: When Leshi and Hu Ji first arrived at the ruins of Bearton, the sight of the desolate, empty village was overwhelming. Seeing Baer tirelessly caring for the emaciated cubs—his eyes dry and steady despite the crushing sorrow—the sheer weight of his silent endurance caused Leshi and Hu Ji to break down in tears. A Gift of Belonging: Upon learning that Leshi had lost his memories and had no home to return to, Baer made a heartfelt vow. He deeply hoped that Bearton could become Leshi’s "second home"—a place where he would always belong, no matter where his journey took him.

The earth never rejects anyone, whether they belong to the past or the future.This is the true reflection of Baer’s soul.

The Collapse of the Lone King Timeline: Baer’s Fall

The Broken Foundation: In the "Lone King" timeline, Baer was the first to fall—and he was the one the team could least afford to lose. As the various tribes waged war to claim Leshi, securing food and supplies became an impossible task. Amidst the relentless pursuit of their enemies and a momentary lapse in vigilance due to exhaustion, Baer finally succumbed.
The Last Keepsake: After his fall, the only thing he left behind was a single jar of honey. That jar became the one thing Leshi never dared to open, yet he clung to it with a death grip—a silent, final relic of the warmth he once knew.

The Weight of the Last Honey (最後的溫情遺產)

A Legacy of Warmth: In the story, this jar of honey carries the weight of a final, tender legacy. At the very moment Baer fell due to that fatal lapse in vigilance, the jar was tucked deep within his embrace, kept warm by the very last of his body heat.
The Silent Protector: Even as life faded, his instinct remained the same: to protect the small bit of sweetness he had saved for Leshi. For the Lone King, that honey is no longer just food; it is the lingering warmth of a protector who refused to let the world grow cold.

The Burn of Love (被愛灼傷的劇痛)

A Gift That Scars: When Leshi retrieved the jar of honey from Baer’s cold, lifeless body, he felt no relief or joy of being saved. Instead, he felt a searing agony—a pain of being scorched by a love too heavy to bear.
The Symbol of Remembrance: He "refuses to open it" because he knows that once the honey is consumed, the last trace of Baer’s "Earthly Tenderness" will be gone from this world forever.
The Comfort of Denial: As long as this jar remains sealed, Leshi can continue to deceive himself. He can cling to the illusion that the kind, gentle bear beastman—who used to smile warmly and pat him on the head—is still out there somewhere, watching over him.

The Shackles of Guilt (自責的枷鎖)

The Price of Sweetness: In the "Lone King" timeline, whenever Leshi feels hunger, cold, or despair, he gazes at the jar of honey and is reminded that Baer died because of the warring tribes' obsession with him. The sweeter the honey seems in his mind, the deeper his self-loathing grows. "This sweetness was bought with his life," he thinks. "How could I ever be worthy of tasting it?"
The Message of Redemption: In the "Redemption" chapter, the spirit of Baer gently urges Leshi to finally open the jar. He reminds Leshi that what was meant to be protected was never the jar itself, but Leshi’s own happiness.

貝爾的過去：熊熊村是只有熊獸人居住的村子，因為面臨天災乾旱導致糧食欠收，偏偏還遭遇魔物入侵村子四分五裂。無法承受飢餓災害的村民為了生存拋棄了村子，貝爾獨守著村子保護孩子不願離去，相信修復一切後村民願意返回，村子可以返回昔日的熱鬧而獨守這份孤獨。

當雷希與狐姬來到殘敗的熊熊村，孩子早已面黃肌瘦，貝爾為了生存只能奔命尋求食物。在雷希與狐姬的幫助下先安置了村落討伐周圍魔物穩定村子與暫時作為食物應急，雷希與狐姬藉由加強村落基礎見建設，加強防治魔物入侵、灌溉系統、糧倉與耕種技術讓村落得以穩定，剩下只有協助貝爾找回失落的村民讓熊熊村恢復原貌。

村子恢復元氣後離雷希與狐姬打算離開前往下個村落，貝爾因為感謝與喜歡雷希決定加入冒險，在貝爾這名廚師幫助下雷希與狐姬冒險得以衣食無虞。

知道雷希失去記憶沒有故鄉時，貝爾希望熊熊村能成為雷希的第二故鄉其實第一次來到熊熊村的雷希與狐姬，看著殘敗的村莊空無一人的悲傷，與照顧面黃肌瘦的小熊卻從不落淚的貝爾直接讓兩人崩潰

雖然不知道貝爾的傷痛會不會受到彌補，但在雷希他們身邊自己就能不被過去傷痛。貝爾還未流淚狐姬與雷希比他早流，貝爾受到他們渲染才能正視內心創傷與他們一同流淚。看著農田中奔跑歡笑的小熊與回來的村民，貝爾終於能放下守護村落責任身份與雷希冒險。

大地從不會拒絕任何人，不論是過去還是未來，這是貝爾心中寫照。

孤王線最先垮的是貝爾，也是最垮不得的人。他倒下原因是各族爭奪雷希的戰爭不僅獲取糧草困難，敵人又窮追猛打而油斷。當貝爾倒下時，他遺留下來的最後一罐蜂蜜，成了雷希後來唯一不敢打開、卻又死死抱在懷裡的遺物。

這罐蜂蜜在故事中的重量是最後的溫情遺產：在貝爾因為「油斷」而倒下的那一刻，這罐蜂蜜或許就藏在他懷裡最深處，被他的體溫暖著。

當雷希從貝爾冰冷的遺體中搜出這罐蜂蜜時，他感受到的不是得救的喜悅，而是一種被愛灼傷的劇痛。拒絕遺忘的象徵：雷希之所以「捨不得打開」，是因為他知道，一旦打開喝掉，這世界上關於貝爾那種「大地的溫柔」就徹底消耗殆盡了。只要這罐蜂蜜還在，他就可以自欺欺人地覺得，那個會溫厚地笑著、拍拍他腦袋的熊獸人還在某處守護著他。

自責的枷鎖：每當雷希在孤王線感到飢餓、寒冷或絕望時，看著這罐蜂蜜，他就會想起貝爾是因為各族爭奪自己而死。這罐蜂蜜變得越甜，雷希對自己的厭惡就越深。「這是我害死他才換來的甜味，我怎麼配吃它？」在救贖篇中貝爾會勸雷希開封吧，該守護的不是罐子而是雷希的幸福。
