記得我曾在〈聽不到的說話〉裡，提過的那位出過唱片的前輩嗎？他用鋼琴自彈自唱這首〈Hello〉可好聽了～完全有別於 Lionel Richie 的另一種味道……嗯嗯，有關於〈Hello〉這首歌，主題是關於暗戀的……創作靈感是來自 Lionel Richie 青少年時期的青澀回憶，Lionel Richie 年輕時，曾經看著心儀的女孩從身旁經過，但他太害羞根本不敢跟對方說話，只能在心裡默默唸著：「Hello, is it me you're looking for ?」如何？夠浪漫的啦！多年之後，他嘗試用這句話來寫歌，但過程並不順利最終放棄，但製作人 James Anthony Carmichael 很喜歡這個想法，敦促Lionel Richie寫完整首曲子。
