有一首略為冷門的西洋歌曲〈Songbird〉，中譯〈鳴禽〉……年輕時，曾不經意的聽過，卻一直沒有納入〈蒼穹未央〉的〈詩詞曲集〉單元，要不是格友〈衛之珫〉在〈Tear in heaven〉裡的留言，恐今生有遺珠之憾矣！她的留言如下：「Tears in heaven 總會讓我想起另一首歌，Chris de Burgh 的 Songbird，這兩首歌曲氛圍非常相似。Songbird 是 Chris de Burgh 在電台上聽到 Eva Cassidy 美妙的歌聲後，為她所創作的，而在33歲因病去世前，她一直籍籍無名。也許您已聽過 Songbird，或許可以再回味一次，有些歌曲百聽不厭，卻常會被悄悄地塵封在記憶中....」，是的～筆者錯過了這首歌曲……避免失之交臂，今日亡羊補牢的奉上……感謝您的分享……。

有關 Chris de Burgh 的歌曲，之前曾介紹過〈Borderline〉與〈The lady in red〉這兩首……在文章中已有相當的敘述……如今僅針對〈Songbird 鳴禽〉這首歌曲，在網路上搜尋了二段代表性的留言：「這首歌曲是 Chris de Burgh 寫給已故女歌手 Eva Cassidy的，她生前並不出名，只是在酒吧駐唱，過世後才大放光芒，《Songbird》的歌詞裡引用了她的歌名《Over the rainbow》與《Fields of gold》等等。」與「《鳴禽》是愛爾蘭歌手 Chris de Burgh 的作品，傳聞是紀念那位英年早逝的才女歌手 Eva Cassidy……音樂簡約委婉，歌詞哀傷感人～為那位生前不甚人知的女歌手，奉上音樂崇高的桂冠！」
