Whether in Iran or Israel, the United States, as a capable major power, should seek justice for any people suffering from persecution. If a government no longer serves its people, it should be overthrown; if the people choose to break free from the control of their original government, they must also take responsibility for their choices. When a country interferes excessively in the internal affairs of others, it is violent oppression; when the entire world remains silent in the face of a violent government, it is our complicity.
