保險： 聯繫保險公司更換為 Hawaii Policy，我買了GEICO 月繳$85
繳稅 : 先到Hawaii Department of Taxation繳稅拿到G-27
取車： 抵達港口取車，保留好 Bill of Lading and Reciept 可以一個月內到DMV註冊
檢驗： 開車去附近的 Safety Inspection 拿「失敗」單（Failed Certificate）。
註冊： DMV 預約： 建議先在 大島 DMV 官網 預約時間。

Step 1: Prepare a Car Insurance
聯繫保險公司更換為 Hawaii Policy 要符合夏威夷標準，GEICO Car Insuracen，因為FJ Cruiser 擋風玻璃很直角很容易被敲破，所以我Comprehensive 選 $100 自付額，如果真的需要換前擋，我就可以用保險每年換一次

Step 2: Pay the Hawaii Use Tax
先到Hawaii Department of Taxation 櫃檯繳稅，不是在DMV繳費，要繳的稅的Landed Value，所以是Purchase Price + Shipping Cost 的4.5%
準備文件
- Bill of Sale ($23969)
- Shipping Invoice ($2400)
需填文件: 櫃檯 Tax Agent 會請你在現場填 G-26, G-27 最後幫你審核
- The Amount: 4.5% of the "Landed Value" (Purchase Price + Shipping Cost).
- The Form: Use Form G-26 (Use Tax Return). You will also need Form G-27 (Motor Vehicle Use Tax Certification) as your "receipt" for the DMV.
- How to pay: Cash or Cashier Check (不收Credit Card)
- Online: Use the Hawaii Tax Online (HITAX) portal. This is the fastest way.
- In-Person: Visit the Hawaii District Tax Office.
- Hilo: 75 Aupuni St #101.
- Kona: 82-6130 Mamalahoa Hwy (Captain Cook).

Form G-27 (蓋有藍色印章）+ Copy of Form G-26, 這是要帶去DMV申請License的必備文件
Step 3: Pickup the Car from Pasha
4/1/2026 終於收到Pasha的信，可以在4/3/26~4/8/26 預約取車，如果超過時間取車$25/day late fee，我們馬上預約4/3/26 9:00am，取車時 Pasha Hawaii會給你一張CARGO RECEIPT 註記什麼時間拿到車，從這天開始你有30天的時間到 DMV 換Hawaii License，放在車上以免遇到警察臨檢
Step 4: Get a "Failed" Safety Inspection
拿到車後馬上到Hilo LEX BRODIES FAST LUBE 做一次Safety Inspection，他們不接受預約大概排了50分鐘，會先跟你要Car Insurance Car 檢查超級基本方向燈、雨刷、引擎看聲音等，超快大概5分鐘結束花費$25，拿到一張Failed Inspection
Drive the car to any authorized safety check station (most gas stations/repair shops).
- Important: You must have Hawaii insurance first.
- Tell them you need a safety check for an out-of-state registration.
- They will give you a paper that says "FAILED" because the car isn't registered in Hawaii yet. This is a requirement for the DMV.
Step 5: Visit the Hawaii County DMV
Since the car is financed, you won't have the original title. Bring these documents:
- Application for Registration: Form VRL-MVR500 (signed by you).
- Bill of Sale: Showing the purchase price.
- Bill of Lading: Your Pasha Hawaii shipping receipt (proves when the car arrived).
- Copy of the Title: Since the bank holds the original.
- Out-of-State Registration: The temporary CA registration/permit.
- Form G-27: The tax certification from Step 1 showing you paid the 4.5%.
- Failed Safety Certificate: From Step 2.
Fee for Registration $1348
- G-27 Hawaii Taxes 4.5% = 1186
- State & County Weight Taxes: Based on how heavy the car is. Varies by car weight (usually $100 - $300) $210
- Registration Fees: Usually around $45 (State) + $12 (County).
