什麼，飛機還有分別嗎???

在踏入飛行的世界時，有件事你必須知道，飛機是有分別的。在航空界一般把飛航物體稱之為Aircraft；一般的中文翻譯都稱之為飛機，在此翻譯成航空器；根據FAR Part 61.5所述，將航空器分成三大類Category、Class與Type，以下為航空器的詳細劃分；

Category Ratings: Airplane、Rotocraft、Glider、Lighter-Than-Air、Powered-Lift、Powered Parachute與Weight-Shift-Control Aircraft。

Airplane就是大家所熟知的民航客機，如波音客機、空中巴士、Cessna 172等等，如下圖所示；

Rotocraft就是大家所熟知的直昇機，如下圖所示；

Glider如下圖所示；

Lighter-Than-Air如下圖所示；

Powered-Lift如下圖所示；

Powered Parachute如下圖所示；

Weight-Shift-Control Aircraft如下圖所示；

以上就是Category的分類；接下來看Class的分類；Class就再把Category的大項目再做細分，例如Airplane就分類成陸上用單引擎(Single Engine Land)和海上用單引擎(Single Engine Sea)的分別，如以下所述；

- Airplane: Single Engine Land,Multi engine Land,Single Engine Sea and Multi Engine Sea.

- Rotocraft: Helocopter and Gyroplane.

- Lighter-Than-Air: Airship and Ballon.

- Weight-Shift-Control Aircraft: Weight-Shift-Control Aircraft Land and Weight-Shift-Control Aircraft Sea.

- Powered Parachute: Powered Parachute Land and Powered Parachute Sea.

以上分類都可參照上面的圖片所示，在此就不多附加照片參考。

而最後一個項目就是Type；經常會聽到很多飛行員或是機師，說要做什麼Type Rating，內容也就是說以下的敘述；例如一位已經拿到商用飛行執照的雙引擎飛行員，未來準備要執飛大型客機，在它真正開始執飛之前，必須先接受額外大型客機的訓練，考核通過後，就可以在它的飛行執照上備註，這次所受訓練的Type Rating，之後才可以真正執飛這架飛機。

- Large aircraft other than lighter-than-air.

- Turbojet-powered airplanes.

- Other aircraft type ratings specified by the Administrator through the aircraft type certification procedures.

- Second-in-command pilot type rating for aircraft that is certificated for operations with a minimum crew of at least two pilots.
