《三大步驟輕鬆運用moderate、moderately、moderation於TOEIC正式考題中》

步驟一：學mode字根用法
mode ➽ n.①方式，模式；②時尚
搭配①：in mode ＝ in fashion「流行」的
搭配②：out ofmode 不「流行」的
步驟二：mode字根＋字尾
moderate ➽ adj.①中等的；②適度的；③有節制的
字源：mode模式、中間+rate比率
口訣：「照著模式的比例」→「中等速度的」→adj.中等大小的
搭配①：moderate size 「中等大小的」尺寸
搭配②：moderate pay raise「適度的」加薪
搭配③：moderate eater 「有節制的」飲食者
moderate ➽ v. （使）適中；（使）緩和；減輕，減弱；節制
字源：mode模式、中間+r+ate動詞結尾
口訣：「朝著中間的模式」→「（使）適中」→v.（使）緩和；減輕
搭配①：moderate the policy on the dress code緩和服裝規定的政策
搭配②：The typhoon has moderated. 颱風已減弱
moderation ➽ n.適度；適中；合理；緩和；降低
字源：mode模式、中間+ration合理的量；正常量
口訣：「中間的模式」→n.適度；適中
搭配①：eat and drink in moderation飲食適度
搭配②：moderation of the pain疼痛的減少
