Xiao Mei: It's a story where the main character keeps time-traveling to get back at bad guys.

Xiao Ming: Why are you into that? What's it teaching you?

Xiao Mei: Not much, just unwinding, you know? Don't you think it's satisfying when the villains get what's coming to them?

Xiao Ming: Well, first of all, that's not exactly a justice system, is it? Is there any due process involved?

Xiao Mei: Nope, it's the main character taking matters into her own hands.

Xiao Ming: I'm more of a believer in 'what goes around comes around'.

Xiao Mei: So, what's your take on it?

Xiao Ming: I think life has more to offer than just getting even with terrible guys. After all, we get a second chance, and we should think about the kind of person we want to be. Revenge on scumbags should just be a small part of the story, not the whole deal.

Xiao Mei: Sounds like you're not a fan of this kind of story.

Xiao Ming: When have you ever seen me dive into one?

Xiao Mei: Good point. Well, I guess I won't watch it either. After hearing what you said, it feels like the main character is kinda soulless and thoughtless, like she's become a robotic program. Life seems to be all about vengeance with no room for anything else.

小明：「你在看啥？」

小美：「女主角不斷穿越，不斷報復渣男的故事。」

小明：「為什麼要看，你從中學到什麼？」

小美：「沒什麼。就放鬆阿。你不覺得壞人得到正義的制裁很棒嗎？」

小明：「首先，那和正義的制裁沒關係吧？有走司法程序嗎？」

小美：「沒有。就女主自己私底下去搞渣男。」

小明：「我是相信善有善報，惡有惡報。」

小美：「重點是？」

小明：「我覺得人生不是只有報復渣男。好不容易重生了，應該要先思考自己想要活成什麼樣的人。報復渣男應該只是一小片段，而不是全部。」

小美：「聽起來，你不喜歡這種小說。」

小明：「你看我何時看過？」

小美：「說得也是。好吧！那我也不看了。聽完你說得話以後，我只覺得女主角好像沒有靈魂、沒有思考能力──活成了一段電腦程序，好可悲。人生除了報復渣男以外，什麼都沒有了。」
