《長津湖之戰》僅兩週票房就超過6.33億美元
目前世界上最大的電影不是最新的邦德電影《無暇赴死》，甚至不是漫威的上氣和十環傳奇。
這是一部關於 1950 年代朝鮮戰爭的中國宣傳片，主要講述了中國士兵不顧巨大困難擊敗美國軍隊的故事。
《長津湖之戰》上映後短短兩週內，票房收入已超過 6.33 億美元（4.63 億英鎊）。這使其遠遠超過上氣公司 4.02 億美元的全球收入，而且只用了一半的時間。
它將成為中國有史以來票房最高的電影。

受中國政府委託，《長津湖之戰》只是近年來在中國取得巨大商業成功的幾部民族主義電影之一。
2017 年，關於一名中國士兵在非洲戰區從壞人手中救出數百人的《戰狼 2》，僅在一周內就獲得了創紀錄的 16 億元人民幣（2.38 億美元；1.81 億英鎊）。
長津湖描繪了一場寒冷天氣下的殘酷戰鬥，中國聲稱這是朝鮮戰爭的轉折點——在中國正式稱為“抗美援朝戰爭”。
數千名年輕的中國士兵在這個名義上的湖中喪生，以確保對美軍的關鍵勝利。
一位觀眾在評論網站豆瓣上寫道：“我被士兵們的犧牲所感動。天氣如此極端，但他們成功了。我感到非常自豪。”
在華盛頓和北京之間的緊張局勢升級之際，這部電影的受歡迎程度並非巧合。
南加州大學政治學教授斯坦利·羅森博士說：“這肯定與與美國持續的緊張局勢有關，並且以這種方式被宣傳——有時是間接的，但仍然非常清楚。”
其成功背後的另一個原因是電影製片廠和當局之間的協調推動，它們嚴格控制可以在任何時間發行的電影的數量和類型。
目前，《長津湖之戰》在院線中的競爭並不大。儘管已經在其他地方上映，但好萊塢的主要大片《無暇赴死》和《沙丘》將於 10 月底在中國上映。
這部電影的時機也特別好——它不僅在 10 月 1 日開始的中國國慶假期期間上映，而且是在執政的中國共產黨（CCP）今年慶祝成立 100 週年之際上映。

荷蘭萊頓亞洲中心主任弗洛里安施耐德博士說，這樣的宣傳片通常是中共幹部必須觀看的。
“單位經常組織集體觀影，持卡會員超過9500萬，有望大幅提升票房，”他告訴BBC。

上週，前記者羅昌平因在社交媒體上對電影中描繪的中國士兵發表“侮辱性評論”而被拘留。
三亞警方表示，他被以“侵害民族烈士名譽和榮譽”罪名被拘留，案件正在調查中。
愛荷華州立大學政治學專家喬納森·哈西德博士在早些時候接受 BBC 採訪時表示，具有強烈民族主義情緒的 [中國] 年輕人在網上的聲音不成比例。
“在某種程度上，這種聲音被放大了，因為對國家的合法批評越來越不可接受。”
