On the second day, we headed to the old city area of Hyderabad, mainly to visit the most famous attractions, Charminar and Chowmahalla Palace. We also planned to do some shopping, which was an essential part of our itinerary. Here's a brief introduction to these attractions:

Charminar: Built in 1591 AD, Charminar is a mosque and monument located in the Indian state of Telangana's capital, Hyderabad. This mosque has become a symbol of the city of Hyderabad, India.

The name Charminar is derived from the combination and translation of two Urdu words, "Chār" and "Minar," meaning "Four Towers." The number "four" holds significant importance in Islam. These four equally tall towers have ornate spires and are intricately connected to the temple below through four massive arches.

Chowmahalla Palace: This luxurious palace boasts scenic gardens, opulent architecture, and Baroque-style decor. Inside, you can admire a collection of vintage cars and family heirlooms. Chowmahalla Palace is an architectural marvel, a testament to the ingenuity of its builders on this vast expanse of land. Before you even step into this splendid palace and garden, you'll immediately sense its regal grandeur, as it once served as the official residence of the royal Nizams family of Hyderabad since the 19th century. The palace's courtyards, halls, fountains, and gardens cover a sprawling 5 acres and are known as a replica of Iran's Shah's Palace.

The first stop, when moving from outside the city to the interior, clearly highlights the differences between the two. Furthermore, Hyderabad is primarily governed and established by people who follow the Islamic faith. Therefore, in the old city area, you can see many Muslim flags, and people are often seen here. The scene is quite different from what you would observe in the newly developed areas.

Of course, the level of congestion on the roads in India is incredibly intense and can be described as beyond comparison. This is perhaps one of the distinctive features of India, and experiencing it is a must when visiting the country!

At our second stop, we arrived at Chowmahalla Palace. One thing we noticed immediately was the significant difference in ticket prices between locals and foreigners. Additionally, there was an extra charge for using cameras. What pleasantly surprised me was the cleanliness of the restroom facilities. While it may not have exuded luxury, it was undeniably clean and well-maintained. I even saw some locals taking off their shoes before entering the restroom, which provided a sense of reassurance. However, it's worth noting that Indian restrooms typically only have bidets for washing, and toilet paper is not provided. This is something I gradually became accustomed to during my visit. Upon returning, I found the bidet to be quite efficient.

During our first visit to the palace, I had the opportunity to experience traditional clothing. I felt a bit insecure without wearing glasses.

Later, we began to stroll around the palace. I regret not studying history before the trip, and now I feel a bit sorry about it. So, it's a good idea to do some historical research before traveling.
