以往很多的時候

我會因為聽到訊息當下的氛圍

一時衝動給予了承諾

得等冷靜下來後

才有辦法好好思考

然後發覺事情走向不太一樣

得調整一下

然後花費更多心力和精神

解釋、說明，甚至道歉

於是我開始學習

不輕易答應

不輕易決定

事情慢一點，那就慢了吧

急躁，已經不適合我的處事風格了

事情緩一些，那就緩了吧

迫切，已經不適合我的行事方式了

朋友說

我怎變得優柔寡斷的

和過去整個完全不一樣

怎沒有以前的果決與俐落

那是因為知道得有所改變

才不會於無意中又去傷害到別人

自己的心

也才不會因這些事情老是感到沉甸甸

因為

誠信，讓承諾成真

對我而言，是原則

卻也會是另一種枷鎖

In the past, many times,

I would impulsively make promises based on the immediate atmosphere of the moment.

It wasn't until I cooled down that I could truly think things through, only to realize that things weren't quite as expected, requiring adjustments.

Then, it took more effort and energy to explain, clarify, and sometimes apologize.

So, I began to learn not to agree too easily, not to decide too quickly.

If things need to slow down, let them.

Impatience no longer suits my way of handling things.

If things need to be delayed, so be it.

Urgency is no longer my modus operandi.

Friends remark how indecisive I've become, how different from the decisive and swift person I used to be.

That's because I've come to understand the need for change, to avoid unintentionally hurting others again and to prevent my heart from feeling weighed down by these matters constantly.

Because integrity turns promises into reality, for me, it's a principle, yet it can also become another kind of constraint.
