MV 和歌詞的意境反差太大，雖然 MV 很搞笑，用了很多粗糙的動畫特效和迷因，顯得很輕鬆、搞怪，但是歌詞裡寫的是一個人對表達自己真實的想法感到緊張、害怕，想要打給對方表白心意，但是又猶豫不決。

歌詞裡 Sloan 形容自己像吊扇 (a spotlight stuck on the ceiling)，而且停電了、轉不動，表示沒辦法鼓起勇氣打給對方，而終於撥給對方後，電就來了，風扇開始轉動，代表這個人做出行動，但沒多久手機就顯示電力不足，所以必須掛斷了。

I get the memo, "I think that I might have to let you go" ，"get the memo" 指收到電力不足的通知，也可以指一個人「明白某件事」，所以 "I think that I might have to let you go"，除了是因為沒電了必須掛斷，也可能是對話不順利，明白對方對自己沒意思。

而後來回撥時，卻打不通了，語音表示撥出去號碼無效，這樣是不是代表被對方切斷聯繫，或是被對方拒絕了呢?

Sloan 表示自己在錄製和作詞前六個月，早就已經作好音樂，但一直不知道要為旋律寫什麼歌詞，後來在一次和朋友的通話後，他把那次的過程寫成歌詞，但他表示那就是一個很隨意的日常，沒有太多意思，不過很多人會解讀成想和喜歡的人表白、確認心意時，猶豫、緊張、不安的心境。
