She didn't have the habit of keeping a journal. Or rather, she had tried before, but after just two days, she lost interest, leaving a lot of blank pages behind. It seemed that perseverance never quite found a place in her life.
One day, two neighborhood kids excitedly brought a gift over, dropping it on the ground with all the noise and commotion of a boiling kettle and a ringing phone happening at the same time.
"Look at what treasure we found!"
"It's so heavy, I'm exhausted."
"Maybe it weighs more than us."
"I'm about to die; can we trade this for some soda?"
It was a genuine 10-kilogram dumbbell, and she couldn't help but be taken aback. But then she thought, perhaps she could start using her body as a way of keeping a record, to see what kind of changes would come. Three sets of 12 reps each. Well, starting tomorrow.
沒有寫日記的習慣。或是說曾經嘗試寫過,但只記錄了兩天就意興闌珊,剩下空白的頁數一大堆。持之以恆好像終究沒辦法寫進她的生活裡。
一天,兩個鄰居小孩興沖沖的合力搬著禮物拿來扔在地上,又喊又叫的模樣讓人想到熱水壺煮開時,電話同時響起的吵雜沸騰。
「妳看看我們挖到什麼寶。」
「超重的,好累喔。」
「說不定比我們還重。」
「我快要死了,這個可不可以跟妳換汽水?」
是個貨真價實的10公斤啞鈴,她不禁啞然。但轉念一想,或許可以開始用身體來作為記錄,看看有什麼樣的變化,每次12下3組這樣。嘛~從明天開始。
