As if some little Arctic flower

Upon the polar hem

Went wandering down the Latitudes

Until it puzzled came

To continents of summer

To firmaments of sun

To strange, bright crowds of flowers

And birds, of foreign tongue

I say, As if this little flower

To Eden, wandered in

What then? Why nothing

Only, your inference therefrom

猶如一簇小忍冬青

生長在極地的邊緣

徘徊遊走在自由中

直到困惑苦惱來到

來到炎炎盛夏大陸

來到烈日凌空穹蒼

來到陌生艷麗花叢

雀鳥說著外國語言

我說啊猶如這小花

來到伊甸徘徊進入

下一步竟空無一物

只有你從那裡推論

默想：

羅馬書1：20「自從造天地以來，神的永能和神性是明明可知的，雖是眼不能見，但藉著所造之物就可以曉得，叫人無可推諉。」人的知識有限，雖然累積了千萬年的經驗和現象，仍然在有限的語言中，無法參透上主造化及維護之功。雖諺語說太陽之下無新事，然而我們還是在宇宙萬物中，不斷看見聽到奇妙的事。可能必須到了神的天國樂園中，我們才明瞭一切的一切。
