I am so glad to receive your letter and gift on Jan 17th. The photos remind me of the days I stayed with you and Ray. While I was reading
潮水緩緩地輕輕地包覆著岸邊散亂的石頭。
她們的手沒有舉起道別，
掌心貼著掌心望著妳遠行。
她們的眼睛有一座孤島，
英文有時少了或多了一個介係詞就差很多。中文的「在、於、從、向、沿著」等等介係詞的用法還蠻固定的，相對很單純；英文的卻非常深奧多變，所以常被國人忽略(或不願面對)，往往不重視介係詞就捅出大烏龍。今天又遇到一個典型的例子。
