The TNLA had indicated on November 25 that it was willing to hold talks to end the military conflict, while respecting and recognizing the Chinese government's efforts to stabilize the border and end the fighting. The Kachin Independence Army (KIA), following the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) and the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), has also demonstrated its willingness to resolve the conflict and end the prolonged armed confrontation through dialog.
