Xi Jin-ping, new Chairperson of the Communist Party of China, took his office on November 15 for the next 10-year term. 
Not surprisingly, MYJ congratulated Xi right after he was elected.  James Soong did it later the same day.
But we did not see any from DPP, which seemed to have lost track of the recent once-in-a-decade opportunity to send the long-due olive branch.
What should DPP do, if it considers it wrong for KMT to monopolize the channel between Taiwan and Beijing?  After nearly 10 years of misunderstanding, DPP should at least reach for it by sending token greetings.
