「小王子」: 誰是你的玫瑰與狐狸?
從大學二年級看「小王子 」( Le petit prince/ The little prince:)到現在，從感動到認同理念，也都沒法像近幾日那樣被深深打動！偉大的文學作品就是那種隨人生的成長過程更能印證體悟的真情真理。如果有人問：誰是你人生唯一的玫瑰或狐狸？大部分人會提到自己的小孩或伴侶。但作者聖伯里修的涵義是比較廣的，超越血親之外的友誼，甚至以動物界的狐狸及植物界的玫瑰來為比喻的對象。
小王子之所以真實，是當你年紀越來越年長，發現那種天真、純潔、真愛、信任宛如珍寶一般，在成人世界越來越罕見，只有在小孩、寵物身上還能尋覓到。交友如過江之鯽，誰會多花點時間去「馴服」( tame, apprivoiser)？
我採用的是2016年版的電影，那小王子與玫瑰、狐狸的片段，就是我多年來從我的花園玫瑰、純真的愛犬艾田中，追求的簡純的生活寫照。被日本媒體票選最受憧憬嚮往的女性，著名童話家塔莎度朵(Tasha Tudor）的《一個人田園生活》也很貼近我：她與花園的美麗花朵與一隻沙基狗純真簡單度過生活。
當小王子電影裏頭的小女孩醒悟時，決心要冒險去找回小王子那天真、純潔、真愛、信任，因這些在成人世界被遺忘的東西是如此地珍貴。所以當我的唯一玫瑰艾田消失後，更能理解小王子失去玫瑰或告別狐狸的心情，因為沒有誰隨時能再跟你一起在草地上呼吸土地的氣息、陽光的溫馨、花朵的芬芳與聆聽樹梢的鳥鳴。
