NATO was founded six years after the Eastern Bloc of the Warsaw Pact was created by the Soviet Union to counter the Warsaw Pact. After World War II, the Anglo-Saxons believed that Germany was no longer their enemy because they had already deployed troops and weapons there and that their enemies were Russia and China (because they believed communism was a crime). However, Russia has the largest natural resources in the world and holds the lifeblood of Europe. That is why they started that war when they created NATO already.
