雖然我確實覺得以前要讀那麼多東西很辛苦,但不能否定且要感謝當時那些老師的努力和付出。

全文

Ever since I was in the eighth and the nineth grade at junior high school, my classmates' and my course materials switched from Let's Talk in English to Studio Classroom. It was actually a drastic change for me, but I still accepted the circumstance and memorized each article daily as a quiz was set almost every day. To perform well on every quiz and monthly test, I started burning the midnight oil memorizing the whole article each day. I understood it was probably not an intelligent way of learning English, but I insisted on doing this because I wanted to stand out among others and fight for my own dignity. This appeared to be insane, but I guess English was all I had at that time.

As I entered senior high school, I realized that there was no such English-gifted class. I was grateful that my parents provided me with the tuition fees for learning extra English after school. It was indeed eye-opening and intriguing because it sort of reminded me of the past joyful learning experiences when I was still a child. In fact, I barely made any close friends when I was in the first year, so English classes after school became my mental support at that time.

Before English composition contests at school or nation-wide, I could still remember I was kind of bombarded by numerous reading materials and writing practices. Demanding the teachers might have been, their efforts and spirits made a positive impact on me. I always felt supported in this lone battle and received many constructive criticisms and comments from the teachers who trained me. I cannot thank the teachers enough because I also developed right attitudes about learning. That is, perseverance and hard work with strategies. These teachers have always shed light on my English writing, learning, and my personalities. I cannot thank them enough even until now.
