To my dear husband and loving husband（給我摯愛的丈夫）
If ever two were one, then surely we, 若曾有二人合而為一，那便是我們，
If ever man were loved by wife, then thee; 若曾有人為他的妻子所深愛，那便是你，
If wife was ever happy in a man, 若曾有妻子因着丈夫而歡樂－
Compare me with ye women if you can, 妳們若找得着，可以將我與妳們比較。
I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold, 我珍重你的愛，遠勝過整山的金色礦脈，
Or all the riches that the East doth hold, 或東方的所有財寶，
My love is such that rivers cannot quench, 我的愛，江河亦無法解渴，
Nor ought but love from thee give recompense, 也沒有任何事物—除了你的愛—能夠給予回報，
