(Scroll down for English)
包括在酒吧喝一杯咖啡 over a cup of coffee in a bar

HK -> Ishigaki (Okinawa) holiday (currently accessible by cruise!)
Last time I wrote about Okinawa Main Island and another island in Okinawa. So I thought I’d finish off the Okinawa series with a post on another Okinawa island: Ishigaki and Taketomi.
The loveliest thing about Okinawa is the chill island vibe, the the further you can get away, the stronger the vibe. Many moons ago B.C. (Before Children), Baba and I flew to Ishigaki via HK express, which unfortunately doesn’t fly there anymore. However, I’ve recently discovered there are a few cruise destinations there!
Ishigaki
We visited a temple
Cycled by the sea
Watched sunsets (a very nice thing to do there!)
Including over a cup of coffee in a bar
I think my one complaint at the time was that there were not more bars to watch sunsets from, likely because of the lack of tourists. In hindsight, although it would’ve been nice to bar-hop, I also appreciate now how the lack of tourists contributes to the island chill vibe… Truly, you can’t have everything!
We feasted our eyes on the beautiful sea
And took a glass-bottom boat tour.. proof of how clear the sea is!
Taketomi
Taketomi is just 10 mins by boat from Ishigaki. It has a super chill island vibe!
Just walking amongst the houses and flowers reminds me a bit of Capri (Italy), but with its unique culture of course.
Finally, there is the special star-shaped sand!
Also… remember to eat Ishigaki beef!
