After lunch at The Ironwood, we tried to go to the zoo, but it started raining when we got there. I quickly googled nearby attractions and found Roitawarabarn Baandhawalai, a small attraction which looked pretty random. It was down a very narrow alleyway. 番薯爸爸 insisted on turning round as our 7-person van entered, but 番薯爺爺 managed to get it through without a scratch (lucky too, as it was a rental car!)
Glad we made the effort. It was a beautiful wooden house, full of artwork.. A rich person had opened up their home to the public. On reading about it now, I realise that it contains the largest Ganesh carved from a single piece of wood (a 5 ton piece of wood found when digging the foundation for his house). We didn’t know about it, so didn’t particularly appreciate it, though it is in the background (the one behind 番薯爸爸 I think!)
