【寫作】Keep it simple & follow the formats

Many researchers find it challenging to write an academic paper, but in fact, it might be easier than they think.

Let's think of the purpose of writing first. Why do we need academic writing? One of simple answers is to express our thoughts and communicate with much more people, especially other researchers and potential collaborators. That is to say, communication is the primary goal. So, making our writing easy to understand could be very important.

In academic writing, or we could use the term "scientific writing", spreading the ideas effectively is the most important thing for authors to communicate with readers/researchers. In general, it's true that some of your readers have similar interests. But we cannot expect that all our target readers have the same background and high-level language proficiency to understand and respond to what you are trying to express. Thus, keeping it simple would be helpful and feasible to achieve your academic writing goals.

Nowadays, as a researcher, writing and submitting your paper to a conference or journal could be a kind of routine. In most cases, the target conference or journal has its own format. Remember, just follow the formats and check your manuscripts over and over again before submission.
