Application of student VISA in Japan
I'm a university student in Taiwan and I join the ISEPTUFS (student exchange program in Tokyo University of Foreign Studies) for 2023 spring semester, In the following section, I will mention the application of student VISA in Japan, including schedule and procedures.
Reception of CoE
In the mid February, I received the email from TUFS. They mentioned about the delivery of "visa documents". Those documents will be sent to home country university by DHL or EMS.
- Certificate of Eligibility
- Letter of Acceptance
- Visa Application Form to Enter Japan
As you receive the "Certificate of Eligibility(CoE)", then you can bring the documents above and go to " japan taiwan exchange association" to apply your visa.
Application of VISA
Before you visit the local office of japan taiwan exchange association, please check if you already prepared the required documents or not.
- Passport (at least six months before the expired date)
- Certificate of Eligibility (Also with front and back copy)
- Visa Application Form to Enter Japan (There is the reference in office ot help you fill up the form.)
- ID card copy (front and back)
- Headshot (4.5.*3.5cm)
Because I applied the visa close to the 228 vacation in Taiwan, It takes me around a week to receive the visa. Hence, go applying your visa as early as you can.
There are lots of people applying visa, so I spent 30-40 min each time to complete the application at the office.
After receiving the visa, you can visit Japan any time you want. It is time to go on the journey!
