雅思口說第二部分,跨越主題,用相同內容一魚多吃(活學活用)

不少自學雅思的考生聽從網路上找到的建言,把IELTS Speaking Part 2分門別被,讓相同類別,譬如說:人、地、時、事、物,的考題可以共用相同回答。這樣很好,可以練習臨場反應與活用能力。但是,光是限制在同一種類型的考題可以共用回答,這是畫地自限的做法。

終極的活學活用,可以讓不同類型的考題共用相同回答。以下是實際例子示範(特別強調,以下回答內容有諸多改善空間,在此僅僅是為了演示如何跨越主題使用相同內容應答):


題目1:描述一個對你有重大影響的人

Describe a person who has had an important influence on your life.

You should say:

who this person is

how you know this person

what this person does

and explain why this person has had such an influence on you.


題目2:談談一個改變了你生活的重要事件

Describe an important event that has changed your life.

You should say:

what the event was

when it happened

where it happened

and explain why this event changed your life.


I want to talk about my high school teacher, Mr. Chen. He taught me English for three years. Mr. Chen was always very patient and encouraging. He had a great sense of humor and made our classes fun. What I remember most is how he organized an English speech contest. At first, I was scared to join because I wasn't confident about my English. But Mr. Chen encouraged me to try. He helped me practice after school and gave me useful tips. On the day of the contest, I was nervous but did my best. To my surprise, I won second place! This experience really boosted my confidence. Thanks to Mr. Chen and this contest, I became more interested in English and started to enjoy speaking it. Now, I'm much more confident when using English in my daily life.
我想談談我的高中老師陳老師。他教了我三年英文。陳先生總是非常有耐心和鼓勵。他很有幽默感,讓我們的課程變得有趣。我印象最深刻的是他如何舉辦英語演講比賽。起初,我很害怕加入,因為我對自己的英語沒有信心。但陳老師鼓勵我去嘗試。他放學後幫我練習並給了我有用的建議。比賽那天,我很緊張,但我盡力了。令我驚訝的是,我獲得了第二名!這次經歷確實增強了我的信心。感謝陳老師和這次比賽,我對英語變得更加感興趣,並開始喜歡說英語。現在,我在日常生活中使用英語時更加自信了。

批評:

  • 打死我都不會這麼開頭:I'm going to talk about something./I'd like to talk about something./I want to talk about something.
  • 以上回答有多少個句子皆以 I 開頭呢?這樣說話,形同放棄了Grammatical Range評分項目。


我不是一個光說不練的人,針對口說第二部分的開頭,我來示範一下:

The age of sixteen marked a turning point when I encountered a person who has profoundly influenced my values and behavior.
十六歲是一個轉捩點,我遇到了一個深刻影響我的價值觀和行為的人。

  • 這句開場展現了爭取高分的意圖,特別是在Grammatical Range和Lexical Resource兩個評分項目上。如此開場,可避免簡單直白=分數普通的表達,改以更精緻的句型驚艷考官。
