If future Kumamoto and Phoenix cities both have Taiwanese people and Taiwanese villages, what can Japan and the United States give back to Taiwan? I believe it should be Nevada City in Pingtung.
This is a three-way partnership, where each city strengthens the other's industries. You strengthen my entertainment industry, and I strengthen yours. Japan can give Pingtung a Universal Studios, and the United States can give Pingtung a Nevada City. The studio is for children, and the casino provides the infrastructure for adults' comprehensive rest and entertainment.
In 2026, these three sparsely populated deserts will suddenly have Taiwanese people, a world of laborers, much like the people in this song. Because of job opportunities, they work very hard. There are even people selling lemons; the movie *Empire of Silver* is currently showing. In fact, Pingtung itself is the hometown of lemons.
Let's imagine a few scenarios: after Universal Studios in Pingtung is built, is it possible for those who previously worked at Universal Studios locations around the world to return to their hometown of Taiwan? Absolutely.
Once the infrastructure in Las Vegas is completed, performers wanting to tour in Taiwan will have another base for global tours, a phenomenon known as the Nevada effect.
Currently, Taiwan's domestic tourism is not comprehensive enough, so everyone flies abroad for leisure, going to Japan or Thailand for hot springs. If the infrastructure and high-speed rail/MRT systems are fully developed in the future, people will gradually fly back to Taiwan for hot springs, creating many service industry job opportunities.
It's entirely possible that photographers could visit Pingtung and take photos in Las Vegas or the film studios at the same time; it won't be a desolate desert anymore.
During Asia's rise, we've targeted tourists with assets between 3 million and 300 million NTD—affluent groups who are already quite wealthy. They're tired of traveling the world. If Taiwan had stronger infrastructure—like the MGM Grand, the Eiffel Tower, the Bellagio Fountain, the Neon Museum, the Hoover Dam, the National Gallery of Art, Death Valley National Park, Gaza Strip nightlife, picnics at Lake Tahoe, the Silver Empire Hotel (owned by Terry Gou), the Asia Empire Hotel (owned by Lin ), and Old Las Vegas—like Nevada City, I believe these high-net-worth tourists would all come to Pingtung, at least once in their lives.
And if they want to see the sea, they can see it anytime.
