我覺得在以上幾句句子裏,我比較推介大家學習一下第2,第3和第4句:- 第2句是反問也是擬人,我們可以把令事情變壞的因素說成最大的破壞者“The biggest saboteur”,這可以行文加一點個人風格~如果沒有剛好要說破壞者的話,也可以學習反問的方式~例如:
- The biggest saboteur of trust? Lies. (信任的最大的破壞者?謊言。)
- Will anyone remember those who helped them along the way? Quite unlikely.(有人會記得曾經幫他們一把的人嗎?似乎不會。)
- 第3句為大家提供另一個選項~香港學生一般會寫proved that或者pointed out that吧?我們也可以試試用evidence that哦,例如:
- The low balance in the books evidence that the company is poorly managed. (帳目中微小的數目證明了那家公司的不善經營。)
- 至於第4句,我們可以用這個表達方式指出表面上看來這樣,可是實際上並不然的情況,例如:
- To the undiscerning observer, they are happily married. (對於糊塗的觀察者來說,他們的婚姻美滿。)
- To the undiscerning observer, he is an outstanding student. (對於局外人來說,他是個優秀的學生。)
