之前我去信義誠品買了一本書叫《刻意練習》 (Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise) ，回家後我先找到這本書作者的英文訪談看了一下

上 YouTube 找到 Larry King 賴瑞金 (美國知名脫口秀主持人) 訪問他的片段，
結果這段訪談我聽得目瞪口呆

主持人 Larry 氣勢徹底壓過來賓，
我到後來都沒有聽作者回答什麼
一直快轉看 Larry 要用什麼驚人的問題電爆作者XDD

《刻意練習》的作者在書裏面有一個「專家 (expert)」的概念，
他覺得世界上有所謂「成為專家的過程」
並且你需要在那個領域找到「專家」指導你

可是主持人 Larry 的觀點是他覺得很多「專家」都在分享沒用的東西，
真正的專家往往不知道自己是個專家
可是一直在做比專家還厲害的事

以下紀錄 Larry 對於「專家 (expert)」這個觀念一系列轟炸性挑戰問題 XD

👉 Does the expert know that they're doing this, or do they do it kind of automatically?

請問所謂專家有意識到他們在做專家的事，還是他們是下意識在做呢？

👉 So a lot of people think they're experts and they're not, right? We see it on Television every day.

很多人覺得他們是專家但其實他們不是對嗎？我們在電視上看到很多這樣的人

👉 I have a great admiration for athletes. Well, you know, I never heard the term expert applied to athletes.

我對運動員有很深的敬佩，
但我從來沒有聽過有人用「專家」形容傑出的運動員

👉 I've been interviewing people for 59 years.
I never called myself an expert.
Am I an expert?

我已經訪問人訪問59年了，
我從來沒說自己是專家，
你覺得我是專家嗎？

👉 But I love it.
I just keep doing it every day.

但是我很愛訪談這個工作，
我就是每天做

👉 I guess I was following something.
It's a practice I didn't know I was doing.
I just liked it.

反正我就是喜歡做

👉 But I didn't have a teacher. I didn't have a coach.

我沒有老師，我也沒有教練

👉 But a lot of what you're discussing here, you need teachers, coaches, mentors, right?

但很多你書裡在討論的是我們需要老師跟教練對嗎？

👉 Would you call yourself an expert on experts?

(眼神犀利看著作者) 你會說你是研究專家的專家嗎？

👉 One of my favorite New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, he wrote in 2009 that so called experts turned out to be in many situations a stunningly poor source of expertise
