Pinky Chiang started her painting career in 2014 under the guidance of Prof. Liu Kuo-sung, father of modern ink painting. Her paintings were well-received for their naturally inherent power and significance, and were all sold out in her debut exhibition opened only after nine months of practice. By applying a water extension method with mont marte for abstract conceptions, this series of “Like Fish in Water” illustrates the practice and challenge of the Taoist philosophy in the present age. The gold fish in eastern gouache symbolizes a calling for a soul-searching journey.
