排隊點光明燈、等待百貨公司開門都有機會展開介紹台灣文化的Small Talk

別怪台灣缺少全英環境讓我們練英文口說，隨時隨地都可以逮住機會展開Small Talk，練英文也好、秀英文也不錯，總之，展現我們台灣人的友善熱情，從你我開始！

排隊等點光明燈

Wilson: "Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice you're here to light a lamp too. Is this your first time at Longshan Temple?"(不好意思，我忍不住注意到你也是來點光明燈的。這是你第一次來龍山寺嗎？)

外國遊客: "Yes, it is! I've heard so much about this temple. It's really beautiful."(是的,沒錯!我聽說過很多關於這座寺廟的事。這裡真的很美。)

Wilson: "It truly is. I'm Wilson, by the way. May I ask where you're from?"(確實很美。順便說一下，我叫Wilson。請問你是從哪裡來的？)

外國遊客: "Nice to meet you, Wilson. I'm from Canada. I'm fascinated by the tradition of lighting lamps here."(很高興認識你，Wilson。我來自加拿大。我對這裡點燈的傳統很感興趣。)

Wilson: "It's a meaningful tradition. Lighting a lamp is believed to bring good fortune and clarity to one's life. Do you know which deity you're going to pray to?"(這是一個很有意義的傳統。人們相信點燈可以為生活帶來好運和清晰。你知道你要向哪位神明祈禱嗎？)

外國遊客: "Oh, I'm not sure. There are so many deities here. Can you recommend one?"(哦，我不太確定。這裡有這麼多神明。你能推薦一個嗎？)

Wilson："Well, it depends on what you're hoping for. Some people come here for academic success, others for health or good fortune in their careers. What brings you to the temple today?"(嗯，這要看你希望祈求什麼。有些人來這裡是為了學業有成，有些人則是為了健康或事業順利。今天是什麼原因讓你來到這座寺廟呢？)

外國遊客："Oh, I'm actually here more out of cultural interest. I'm fascinated by the architecture and the rituals. It's so different from what I'm used to back home."(哦，其實我來這裡更多是出於對文化的興趣。我對這裡的建築和儀式很著迷。這與我在家鄉習慣的非常不同。)

Wilson："That's great that you're interested in our culture! The architecture here is indeed special. Did you notice the intricate carvings on the pillars and roof?"(你對我們的文化感興趣真是太好了！這裡的建築確實很特別。你注意到柱子和屋頂上精緻的雕刻了嗎？)

Wilson："I try to come a few times a year, especially during important festivals. Speaking of which, if you're still in Taiwan next month, you should check out the Ghost Festival. It's quite a unique cultural experience."(我盡量每年來幾次，特別是在重要節日期間。說到這個，如果你下個月還在台灣，你應該去看看中元節。這是一個非常獨特的文化體驗。)

外國人："Yes, it's my first time. I've never seen anything like this before. Is it always this crowded?"(是的，這是我第一次。我從來沒見過這樣的場景。這裡總是這麼擁擠嗎？)

Wilson："Oh, you're in for a treat! Anniversary sales are like a national event here. It gets pretty crazy, but the deals are often worth it. I'm Wilson, by the way."(哦，你有好戲看了！週年慶在這裡就像是國家級的活動。確實會變得有點瘋狂，但優惠通常都很值得。順便一提，我叫Wilson。)
