The well-designed visuals, sound effects, music, and overall art style are of Sky's strongest points.
First main-plot run was riveting and captivating, and the idea of "calling" for communication was refreshing and cute, but quite soon the daily candle-runs, season passes, and normal gameplay became repetitive. Instead, in-game "musicians" and "glitch-hunting" (mostly for scenic exploration) became the main foci for many, if not the majority of, players.
No one is supposed to be this "high."
I played Sky for the entirety of 2020 plus one month before and after. Thus, I did not experience its collab with The Little Prince nor the virtual concert of AURORA, though I did check them out on YouTube. However, both of the above broke Sky's most unique and initial concept: no spoken language. Personally, it is a bit unfortunate, though understandbly unavoidable. I really enjoyed communicating with fellow players only by gestures and sounds, since it transcended language barriers and brought the best out of human hearts.
My rating: 9/10
