灰色課程V之006：初始篇：37-40通道——橋樑

The 37-40, the Bridge 

In Design, we are familiar with the Channel 11-56, the Channel of Curiosity, the Design of the Searcher, the Seeker. You could use exactly that keynote to describe the 40-37, exactly. This is not a mystical channel. It’s the bridge. It’s what links our base spiritual roots, which has to do with food and killing, and they seek something greater. The bridge is not satisfied with the value of sacrifice that one cannot live by bread alone. That there must be something greater at work. The Channel of Community, a design of Part seeking a Whole, the Glorious and the Profane, the Channel of Tribal Spirituality. It is in this non-mystical channel that all of the temples, and all of the churches, are built. Right here in the non-mystical 40-37. “want to build an ashram”, get a 40-37. “want to build a temple”, get a 40-37, “want to build a pyramid”, get a 40-37. Very handy.

Remember what this is in sexual terms. In sexual terms this is the channel of the marriage contract. Oh God, I have built the Eighth Grade Temple, please reward me so that I can be a priest, and get money from all these suckers. I have a friend of mine, who spent maybe 25 years of his life in India, and he had a conversation with a priest once about why not, you know, why not really tell the people what it’s all about. And he said “And give up this good business? The people loved this business”. It’s true, you know you make your little bargain and it’s like a lottery, he? You know what I call the lottery of Babylon. And so to hope like hell that you are right.

You know George Bernard Shaw on his deathbed converting to Catholicism, “I’m not taking any chances, if I’m gone die I’m gone bet on God”. Don’t think he would have been welcome there anyway, but nonetheless. This tribal spirituality, the 37th gate, oh I know it well, I’m a 40 he, and have no 37. Without the 37th ’s I never would have been nurtured after my process. I wouldn’t have had a lot of people around accepting that it was ok that I seem to be rather bad.

The 37th gate is the gate of Friendship! In the emotional wave of course. And this 37th gate, the Path of Worship and the hope of being touched by God. Oh the 37’s, woh. Oh master, please, touch me… Oh I know there’s a God… This endless dream of God… Remember that the Channel of the Tribe going to the emotional system is rooted in Need. The pressure, the need, right from the beginning. And in the 37th gate there is this deep deep need for God: I have to meet God. And so the Priest says: build the church, so then you can meet God. So they make a contract, and they build the church. And then they go inside, and they hope they gone meet God.

New Sun Services in Europe is in Southern Germany, in a small ancient fisher community. And just on the outskirts of this town is one of the most magnificent Baroque churches. And it was built about 300 years ago, that was not a place that was wealthy 300 years ago. You go into this building, it is wall to wall gold, it is endless gold. Everything is gold, everything sparkles, everything is incredible and here was this bargain in all these very poor hard working people in the tribe, and their contract was dedicating themselves to the building of that, so that they could go in there once a week and be surrounded in the luster of gold, it’s quite hallucinogenic by the way, and to the music and everything else. These are 37’s, this is their whole thing. 

You know worship has to be something that’s organized and is a contract. And as long as there is some sense of fulfillment that is community, they’ll maintain their contract with that God. But you see, the 37 wants to meet God, but it can’t build the church by itself. The 37 needs to find the willpower to actually build the church. And the willpower is on the other side in the Ego. In the 40th gate. In the gate of Aloneness. The 40th gate, Deliverance, the path of Denial, and the pain of being Alone. The 37 says there is a God, the 40 says there is no God. By the way, the 40-37 says ‘there is God, there is no God’… Waiting for the best deal, it’s all a deal.

你知道，崇拜必須是有組織且是一種契約。只要有某種履行感，就是共同體，他們將繼續與那個上帝簽訂契約。但你看，37閘門/卦門想要與上帝相遇，但它不能獨自建造教堂。37閘門/卦門需要找到意志力，實際上去建造教堂。而這種意志力存在於另一側的自我（Ego，心臟中心/意志力中心）中，在第40閘門/卦門中。在孤獨之門。第40閘門/卦門，解脫，拒絕之路，孤獨之痛。37閘門/卦門說有一位上帝，40閘門/卦門說沒有上帝。順便說一下，40-37通道說「有上帝，沒有上帝」⋯⋯等待最好的交易，這都是一場交易。

The 40 says ‘What do I get, I mean I don’t know if building this temple, it’s gone bring God into the temple so we can all meet God, I doubt that very much’. ‘But you know, if I build the temple you give me a job to maintain it, you pay me. But give me a break from all this God-stuff. In the history of spirituality you will discover that 37’s rarely meet God. And that 40’s meet them all the time.

You see the tribe can never represent mysticism in the way in which it’s romanticized in our process. Because of course, what we romanticize is not the way the communal spirit operates but who are the forces that direct the communal spirit. You know the teachers, the guru’s, the masters, the mistresses, whatever those forces are, those are the forces that are interesting to us. You know we have thousands of years of history and all you can remember is the names of kings! I mean what about the people. And so one of the things that happens to us is that we don’t really see how the mechanics are operating underneath.

你看，部落永遠不能以我們的過程中理想化的方式代表神秘主義。因為當然，我們理想化的不是共同體精神的運作方式，而是指導共同體精神的力量是誰。你知道老師、古魯、大師、女主人，無論那些力量是什麼，那些力量對我們來說是有趣的。你知道我們有數千年的歷史，但你只記得國王的名字！我的意思是人民呢？所以我們遇到的一件事是，我們並不真正看到機理是如何在底層運作的。

I know one thing: If I cannot mutate the tribe, Human Design dies. Because that’s what it’s all about. It is the tribe that can concretize anything. Because they bring it into daily life. It’s like my work with women. I work with so many women. They concretize it, they teach their children, they bring it into their homes. That’s what the tribe does, it builds our world. It builds the world, it builds the bargains, it builds the structure. It sets the Class-system, it rules us from above, and guides us through our hearts, that is the game. And the 40-37 is the most manipulated channel on Earth.

And of course the 40-37, as you can see from this illustration is an opposition in the zodiac, which means that it comes a lot, you meet a lot of 40-37’s. They usually have a Design 16-9. You have gone to meet all kinds of them. Every time the Sun or Earth is in one or the other, or the Nodes of the Moon, you know you’re constantly having these 40-37’s pop into the world. There’s the gluing system. They are the ones that ingrain it into the social structure. If you can’t mutate them, you can’t change them. It’s why the collective has such trouble with the tribe. Collective laws, collective order, is infuriating to the tribe. They don’t have a commonality.

我知道一件事：如果我無法改變部落，人類設計就會消失。因為這就是它的全部。正是部落能夠具體實現任何事物。因為他們將其帶入日常生活。就像我對待女性的工作。我和很多女性一起工作。她們將其具體化，她們教導自己的孩子，她們將其帶入她們的家庭。這就是部落所做的，它建構我們的世界。它建造世界，建立交易，構建結構。它設定階級制度，從上方統治我們，並通過我們的內心引導我們，這就是這場遊戲。而40-37通道是地球上被最多操控的通道。

當然，從這個插圖中可以看出，40-37是黃道上的對立，這意味著你會遇到很多40-37通道。它們通常具有設計16-9通道。你可能遇到過各種各樣的它們。每當太陽或地球處於其中之一，或者月球的節點，你都會不斷地遇到這些40-37通道進入世界。這是黏合系統。它們是將其融入社會結構的人。如果你無法改變他們，就無法改變他們。這就是為什麼集體對部落感到如此困擾的原因。集體的法則，集體的秩序，對部落來說是令人激怒的。他們沒有共同點。

The tribe has nothing to do with the collective, doesn’t like it, sees it as Godless. The tribe in America wants it institutionalized that prayer belongs in the schoolroom, but the schoolroom is controlled by the collective, that says no, no we got to be fair to those people that don’t have a God. The tribe hates that. Doesn’t wanna have anything to do with that.
