"So, why's your 'r' suddenly taking flight?"
"You got wings or something?" I drawled, asking Xiao Yong slowly.
"Yeah, I got wings," Xiao Yong replied, locking eyes with me.

"Then how come I never spotted those wings of yours?" I asked, genuinely curious.
"Only dummies catch a glimpse," Xiao Yong quipped.
"Why dummies? Can't the smart ones see them?" I asked, a bit puzzled.
"You gotta be dumb enough," Xiao Yong said, looking up from her assignment to shoot me a glance.
Still intrigued, I pressed on, "Come on, spill. Why does one have to be a fool to spot your wings? Are they that mysterious?"
Xiao Yong glanced up again and said, "Alright, spillin' the beans, but no scolding, no critiquing, got it?"
"Alright, I won't lay a finger on you," I vowed. "So, spill it. Why do you reckon you've got wings?"
"Because my daycare teacher goes, 'Your wings are stiff, daring to talk back.' Clearly, I've got wings," Xiao An cheerfully explained.

「你的 r 怎麼飛起來了？」
「是有翅膀嗎？」我用緩慢地聲調問著小勇
我模仿小勇的字跡
國王的新衣
「是啊，我有翅膀。」小勇看著我的眼睛說道

「我怎麼沒看到你的翅膀？」我有點好奇的問道
「這個要笨蛋才看的到。」小勇說
「為什麼是笨蛋，聰明蛋看不到嗎？」我有點困惑的問道
「看不到，你不夠笨是看不到的。」小勇一邊寫習作，一邊抬頭看了我一眼
我還是有點好奇，就繼續問小勇
「說啦 說啦，為什麼要夠笨才看的到你的翅膀？你翅膀這麼神秘的嗎？」我問道
小勇又抬頭看了我一眼，說道
「好，我說，但你不准罵我，也不准批評我喔。」
「好，我保證不罵你。」我信誓旦旦的說道
「你到底為什麼覺得自己有翅膀？」
因為我不想寫學校作業，安親班老師說：「你翅膀硬了，居然敢頂嘴。」
可見我是有翅膀的
