The US sends its delegation to Taiwan. 總統大選昨天落幕，民進黨總統候選人賴清德、副總統候選人蕭美琴贏得選戰。

美國在台協會（AIT）下午發布新聞稿表示，美國政府將遵循先例，在台灣總統選舉後邀請前資深官員以私人身分造訪台灣，前國家安全顧問哈德利（Stephen J. Hadley）及前副國務卿史坦伯格（James B. Steinberg）今天抵達台北，美國在台協會（AIT）主席羅森伯格（Laura Rosenberger）隨行。

AIT說明，代表團明天將與台灣各界政治領袖會面，傳遞美國民眾對台灣順利舉行選舉的恭賀，表達對台灣維持繁榮、持續成長的支持，並重申美方長久以來對台海和平穩定的關切。

外交部也指出，若有進一步資訊將再提供，也規劃在適當時間發布新聞稿對外說明。
