Children's Day Holiday
Given the rare chance of a long weekend, I'd like to go on a date with my beloved.
"Come on, take your dear wife out for some fun," I said.
"Why though?" stealing a glance at me while immersed in the video game.
"It's Children's Day, duh! We've got to go out and enjoy," I insisted.
"But you're not a kid, why bother?" still glued to the screen, battling a virtual boss.
"I am too a kid," I countered.
"Oh really? Then how old are you?"
"Five years old? Five years old, huh?" I continued, playfully exaggerating my age.
"I'm only five and I want to celebrate Children's Day!" I declared, hopping around the computer.
"Alright, where do you want to go then?"
"DDR," I announced.
"But with those little legs of yours at five, you can't reach the dance machine pedals."
"Ugh..." I felt a bit at a loss for words.

Well, let's switch things up a bit then.
"If I'm 12 years old, my legs should be long enough for the dance machine, right?" I suggested, eager to head out for some fun.
"Hurry up and take me out!"
Rainy Day
When it started to rain, we decided to take the subway to the arcade.
Once we got there, we dropped our bags, water bottles, and towels, ready to dive into some gaming action.
I needed to wait for my darling to load the game card, so I took a moment to hang up my jacket.
But just as I returned, barely two seconds later, my darling had already loaded the card and put in the coins.
"Hey, I haven't loaded the game card yet!" I exclaimed.
"Hey! Couldn't you have checked first?" I muttered to myself, feeling the frustration bubbling up inside.
I was seething with anger, but I bit my tongue.
"I was waiting for you. When I saw you were busy, I went to hang up my jacket. I didn't expect you to think I'd already loaded the card," I explained, a hint of annoyance in my voice.
"Fine, you go ahead and play; I'll wait for the next round," I said, feigning composure.
We've been playing DDR together for over a decade,
and this was the first time......
It really got under my skin!
I plopped down in a nearby chair, seething with frustration. I was absolutely fuming. The more I dwelled on it, the angrier I became. I was practically boiling with rage.
Left to stew in my own irritation, I downed an entire bottle of mineral water. Can you believe how worked up I was? It was the first time I'd been left hanging like that, so ticked off that I resorted to chugging water to cool down.
Revenge
They say revenge is a dish best served cold, right? Well, guess what kind of person I am. Hehehe. You'll find out soon enough.
"Next time, check if I'm ready before you start."
"Alright," my darling agreed.
"Give me a kiss to make up for it, or I won't forgive you," I said, trying to hide my lingering annoyance.
My babe planted three quick kisses on my cheek, which lifted my spirits a bit, but I was still pretty peeved.
So, I dragged my babe into a corner and playfully nibbled the ear a few times.
Phew. Finally, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. As expected, when you're feeling down, it's best to speak up right away and take action. Your mood improves almost instantly.

「ㄜ......」我有點詞窮
