Only those who truly understand chess can step through the small door, challenge Grandpa A-Ping, and enjoy the quiet conversation of tea and chess. One day, however, the rule was broken—not by anyone else, but by Grandpa A-Ping’s daughter, little Koala. She is only eight years old and knows nothing about chess, yet she wanted to sit by her father and watch how he played. Grandpa A-Ping didn’t refuse. He took her to a corner and began teaching her chess. But little Koala didn’t understand a thing. When Grandpa A-Ping said, “Capture the piece,” she actually put the chess piece in her mouth, filling the tea house with laughter.
