這三段歌詞分別是由三個主角的視角唱著，從第一個女主角信中，而收信的筆友似乎先前有自殺的打算，但這封關心後續狀況的信，卻隔了十年才又寄出，也立即得到了回信，這封信看似來得恰是時候，因為對方在現實中還是孤獨一人，也還需要筆友的友情，來撫慰人在群體中卻還是覺得孤單的心靈。
最後一段劇情卻直轉急下，原來寄件人是冒名頂替的，寫信的人根本是個在家沒地位的中年大叔，只想藉由書信重溫年輕時的感覺，書信往返之際，二人都坦承，為了讓對方覺得自己生活沒過得太糟，在信中都說了謊，筆友是他們現實生活中唯一可分享心情的筆友。
ＭV中三人輪流坐在桌書前，提筆寫信傾訴心情，搭配著很能撫慰人的大提琴，沒太大起伏的旋律，卻表現著濃濃的無奈與無助。
這世界上每個人都是一個孤島啊！
