克服與戰勝死亡 Imagine Dragons - Bones 骨子裡 (翻譯與介紹)

<Bones> 為美國獨立樂團 Imagine Dragons (謎幻樂團，或稱夢龍，幻龍) 其專輯 <Mercury – Acts 1＆2>中的主打之一。(Double albums，Mercury – Acts 1 於2021年9月發行，Mercury – Acts 2 則在2022年7月發行。)
當然，熟悉Imagine Dragons的人絕不會錯認其獨有的曲風與嗓音。
但對比較少聽搖滾類型音樂的筆者來說，主唱Daniel Reynolds的嗓音就像是一碗雙倍濃厚豚骨拉麵，麵條有嚼勁，湯頭超醇厚，加上大塊叉燒與滿滿配料(或許再加上焦香黑麻油)，熱騰騰端上桌，如才華滿溢出來般的美味香氣瞬間衝擊著感官，馬上就被吸引，瞬間就投入其中，聽完整首曲子，就像嗑完整碗拉麵一樣暢快淋漓，心滿意足。

[註一] 歌詞 "Go ahead and throw your stones."
Throw Stones 直譯為丟石頭，出處來自於英文諺語 "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." 住在玻璃屋裡的人們不應該丟石頭，對應的中文成語可用投鼠忌器來表達，意指想投擊老鼠，卻怕擊中老鼠身旁的器物而不敢下手。比喻想要除害卻有所顧忌。
因此歌詞中的Go ahead and throw your stones 代表完全不顧後果，儘管放膽去做的意思。但考量這首歌傳達的本意為對生命中的艱辛越挫越勇，直至戰勝死亡。因此這邊還是直翻 "來吧，(儘管放馬過來!) 儘管扔出你手中的石頭!" ，就像是對人生的嗆聲。
[註二] "Is this entertaining?" 你覺得好笑嗎?有趣嗎?相信大家都有被發怒的長輩，老師，上司這樣問過。不怒反問，其實怒到了臨界點，這時你就要回答: "還滿好笑的啊!" 來增加對方的爆擊率，開玩笑的。
承接[註一]，這裡主要表達，對生活中的種種挫折與艱辛忿忿不平，人生不如意事十常八九的八九部分使自己耐心逐漸耗弱，因而憤怒地反問說這有趣嗎? (呼應上面的Go ahead and throw yours stones，儘管一再不滿並對人生發出詰問，自己仍會硬起來勇敢面對人生中的打擊，並要對方(八九)儘管放馬過來，沒在怕的。)
MV相當有意思，就像在看一部微電影，劇情很易懂，很完整。
其中主角跳上辦公桌扭臀與對著員工斗內金錶的畫面讓人聯想到電影 The Wolf of Wall Street 《華爾街之狼》。相當不可一世。
員工變成殭屍群舞的片段則讓人聯想到Michael Jackson經典歌曲Thriller戰慄的MV。

這些細節讓人會心一笑，筆者其實不常聽Imagine Dragons的音樂，但忍不住被MV吸引一再觀看。

- 主唱Daniel Reynolds表示，歌曲名稱Bones 骨頭反映了他對生命是如此脆弱，如此容易凋零的感觸，但他認為在某種意義上生命應該是永恆的存在，雖然他本人尚無法達到這樣的境界，但他一直再尋找答案，希望藉由這首歌表達一種征服並超越死亡的念想。
- 這首歌同時也是Amazon 知名影集 <The Boys> (黑袍糾察隊) Season 3 Trailer使用的歌曲，就超能力，猖狂，不可一世，超脫死亡等氛圍來說，選曲十分合適。
- 粉絲製作的AMV：
這邊會陸續翻譯黑鬱個人偏好的西洋歌曲，會包含各種風格與年代的音樂。
翻譯就像穿衣風格，語意上的解讀每個人不盡相同，我想盡量保留原本的詞意而不做太多的腦補解讀，因為文字的遐想空間不一，保留原詞語意可以展現出情感上的簡單暴力。
