After watching Peppa pig, R really wanted to build a treehouse. I thought, since we’re in Chiangmai, what better place to stay in a treehouse? I booked a really cool place called Fern paradise. It was absolutely lovely. We walked into a forest of ferns. So quiet and peaceful.

However, this meditative state was punctuated by R’s ongoing tantrums that he didn’t want to live in the tree house because it wasn’t Peppa pig’s treehouse (roll eye). I left the others to talk to him whilst I went ahead to explore and enjoy a peaceful walk. When I got back, he had somehow agreed (thanks!) …Happy smiles! 😝☝️

We swam in the pool and I seem to remember R having lots of fun spraying our treehouse with a water gun from the pool (no pictures to prove it, but that’s what I remember somehow!)

After swimming, we went round the corner to Ohkajhu organic farm sansai, a favourite of FIL and a Thai person in my team who lives in Chiangrai. The playground is quite amazing.. Water play and a honeymelon slide!

The room was quite treehouse-ish!

We had breakfast under a treehouse whilst it rained (rainy season!). It felt quite zen…
