Education reduces conflict (教育減少衝突) 這句話深深烙印在我心中,每個國家都有自己的問題,每個人都有自己的命,我認為所謂的「國際觀」是別將你原先的想法帶到世界的每一個角落,我很感謝在留學的過程當中接觸到《Laughter out of Place: Race, Class, Violence and Sexuality in a Rio Shantytown》這本書,讓我對巴西有更深一層的認識,也反思孕育我的台灣,有些人是否也是被無數無形的形式所支配?極端的不平等,在心中埋下衝突的種子,每個人在面對看似無解的人生,是有辦法自我解嘲的一笑置之,還是交托人類原始暴力的基因去掌舵?
