【結構分析】本句為兩個「完全不及物動詞(occur)」句型合成的對等句型。並以「；」代替連接詞。

1.     本句主結構為：a. The dreaded event occurs.　可怕事件發生了。

                              b. The boy dreams.　那男孩作夢。

a. 主詞：the dreaded event　　動詞：occurs

b. 主詞：the boy　　動詞：dreams

2.     at other times（另外幾次）是「獨立介系詞片語」作副詞用，修飾整句。

3.     from daily life是「介系詞片語作形容詞用」，修飾event，意為「從日常生活而來的可怕事件」

4.     in a dream是「介系詞片語作副詞用」，修飾occurs，意為「發生在夢中」

5.     in its real-life form是「介系詞片語作副詞用」，同樣修飾occurs，意為「以真實生活的形態出現」。its是指「event的」

6.     dream是完全不及物動詞，要接介系詞of才可有受詞，通常都用dream of表示「夢到」

7.     being bullied（被欺負，常被翻譯成「被霸凌」）是被動式動名詞片語，作of的受詞。

He was bullied by the bigger boy. 他被那個更大的男孩欺負。

把was bullied放在dream of後面，就要改成動名詞being bullied。
