進會議時前碰到IT的Tom,跟他訐譙了(complain)這件事,要去和大頭們開會實在很煩,他也覺得很煩...
會議室裡擁擠不堪,職階最小的我,坐在最後一排,前面一堆各部門主管擋著,Tom還沒進來,沒人可聊天,同時我只代表出席不需發言,就放心地瞇(睡)了起來(take a nap)...
外籍CEO從人群的縫隙中瞟到了我在小瞇,心情不甚美麗(annoyed & upset)

CEO: Jack, what do you think?
我睡正熟,被這突如其來的一招嚇好大一跳(freak out)

這種情況,我和Tom經常互相掩護,其中一人被點到,只要敷衍地說:「我同意剛才Tom/Jack說的」就沒問題,操作純熟,經驗老到...
我:I....uh, I agree Tom (制式回一句,反正Tom會罩我,我真是太厲害惹,科科)
CEO: You agree Tom?(不爽地點點頭)...
我:Yeah…
CEO:
「It’s"I agree with Tom",you should use “with” to conncect someone. 」

我:Yeah, I mean...I agree with Tom. (啊不就美國人英文好棒棒)
然後...
CEO: So, what did Tom say?
我:(WTF!!我哪知啊)...Uh, He said that we should do more for the company.(這總行了吧...糟了,我怎麼沒看到Tom,該不會沒來吧)
CEO: O...K. And, by the way, Jack...
我:Yes?(又怎樣)
CEO: Tom IS NOT HERE !!!
