A few days back, I was still fast asleep in the morning when the fire alarm outside my house started blaring incessantly. I immediately thought, "There might be a fire." I grabbed my wallet and rushed downstairs, taking the stairs.
As I reached the ground floor, I stood at the building's entrance, scanning the area for any signs of smoke. That's when I spotted someone emerging from the elevator.
I couldn't help but wonder,
"Taking the elevator during a fire, isn't that risky? "
I remember we're not supposed to. These people are taking a huge risk. They should be using the stairs."
One of the nearby residents chimed in, saying, "Are they really that clueless? Can you even do that?"
Thankfully, the building management later discovered the cause of the commotion. It turned out that the alarm was simply malfunctioning.
In conclusion, it appears that the government should make more efforts to spread awareness about fire safety. Without proper knowledge, in the event of a real disaster, people won't know how to respond. Taking an elevator during a fire is definitely a terrible idea!
