Alyson’s 4/27 Tarot:豐收 Harvest (29-57)

Harvest

Alyson's 4/27 Tarot: Harvest (29-57)

Question: My theme for 4/26 in my future diary

Card Drawn: Harvest

Finally, it's Friday night again. I'm not completely worn out yet, which is great. For me, this time on Friday night signifies that I've reached the halfway point of this hellish week, and by this time on Saturday, I'll have completed the entire week.

Then, a well-deserved rest on Sunday, and next Monday, it's back to learning, learning, learning like a penitent monk.

The theme for the third week of my future diary is the Hermit.

Today's sub-theme drawn from the tarot is "Harvest."

Just the literal meaning alone makes me feel good.

So, if there's truly a harvest of achievements today, it's time to celebrate.

This week's classes have been much more challenging for me compared to last week, very stressful.

Another classmate applied for withdrawal due to feeling unable to keep up with the teacher's pace, experiencing significant psychological pressure.

The number of students in our class has dwindled to the final double digits - ten people.

This morning, the rain has subsided, but the traffic was heavy, making me late for class, which I felt quite embarrassed about.

I could understand today's class content, but I couldn't keep up, no matter how hard I tried.

Fortunately, during break time, classmates came to help, patiently explaining each detail to me, allowing me to learn more.

This is definitely a harvest.

The Harvest card –

Like the cycles of nature's seasons, it's the matured result of past efforts, waiting for us to harvest diligently.

Remember, the harvest won't fall from the sky; it comes from bending down and laboring along the way, and the final mile (the labor of harvest) is where the real harvest is.

This tarot card also speaks of the abundant fruits on trees and on the ground. Without harvesting, the fruits will rot, fall, and decay, losing their original value entirely.

It reminds us not to be greedy; having these harvests is already abundant, already enough.

Waiting further will not increase the harvest but rather destroy it, ultimately leading to loss.

"How you harvest depends on how you plant."

There's a neurological study:

"Patience is associated with the reward circuit.

The reward circuit is responsible for processing in areas such as the striatum, prefrontal cortex, and limbic system.

When a person completes a challenging task, the reward circuit releases neurotransmitters like dopamine, creating pleasure and satisfaction, reinforcing the behavior and making people more willing to endure patience."

James 5:7 in the Bible says,

"Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord.

See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains."
